Fist Day of School,

Well, I just finished my placement test here at Universidad Belgrano.  It was pretty straight forward, and I didn't find it too difficult. It only took about 30 minutes.  So, now we're sitting outside of the classroom waiting for the test results.
I came in on the bus this morning (called collectivo).   Everyday I'm learning more specific things about the Spanish here in Argentina.  There are many things that are different.  One of the biggest ones is the "vos" tense.  It is a weird combination of the old fashioned 2nd person and the modern one.  It's really different from what I am used to in Mexico.
Back to the bus ride.  I was on the bus for 55 mins, that didn't include walking to the bus stop from home or walking to school from the main avenue. I was not expecting it to take so long, but my other errands went quickly and I made it to the test with plenty of time, because, of course, it didn't start until about 10:10 (instead of 10:00).

Will in Argentina

Enough people have asked for documentation of this trip (apparently my grandparents aren´t the only ones who want to keep tabs on me), so I have decided that a blog would be the best way to do this.

Perhaps I should take a poll about what you you all want to read about because I´m sure that whatever I post will be intensely boring to some and immensely fascinating to others.

Naturally some of you will want to hear about my emotions and feelins about the trip.  Others will want to read about the sites, smells, and scenery.  Of course, I figure that there will be plenty of people who will only care about what interesting food that I am bound to consume.  I will do my utmost to provide what you all want to hear/read about.

Disclaimer: I make no promises about the frequency or specifity of the these posts.
